By Carlos Martinez BT has announced the launch of a new cloud connectivity solution designed to accelerate its customers' digital transformation. This new solution, called Connected Cloud Edge, extends the company's global network to a portfolio of strategic partner facilities worldwide, known as Carrier Neutral Facilities (CNFs). This allows customers to access a wide range of cloud-based third-party applications and services without needing to provide individual connections to each one.
This alliance between BT and Equinix is based on Equinix's ability to host leading cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) partners from diverse digital business ecosystems in its facilities around the world.
Initially, the solution will be available in 13 CNFs and can be customized with multi-cloud distribution services and additional features such as SD-WAN and firewalls, further expanding the services already offered by BT.
