The PEX-2000 allows manufacturers of standalone machines to configure their preferences regarding print speed, accuracy, and synchronization. It integrates seamlessly with all automatic labeling systems thanks to its compatible hardware and software architecture. In fact, the PEX-2000 operates transparently with various PCs and PLCs on the market via its GPIO interface and DB15 and DB25 connectors, ensuring compatibility with major manufacturers. Furthermore, its firmware supports the main printer languages, so label templates and print files can be configured and saved according to specific needs.
The 6-inch PEX-2000 is available with a print resolution of 203 or 300 dpi and print speeds up to 14 inches per second. Its innovative, adjustable peel-off module allows operation at tilt angles ranging from -18 degrees to -3 degrees, enabling easy label removal without the need to rethink or redesign the automatic labeling arms. The PEX-2000 comes standard with a Micro-SD card reader for memory expansion up to 32 GB. It also offers various options, such as an RFID module for printing and encoding RFID labels, as well as a combined Wi-Fi + Bluetooth module for advanced wireless connectivity.
This new generation of 6-inch PEX-2000 motors offers high load capacity, with rolls up to 600 meters long, allowing printing of labels up to 180 mm wide, such as pallet labels. The PEX-2000 complements the existing 4-inch PEX-1000 motors in the PEX series, providing a broader range of printing solutions for automated labeling applications. It's worth noting that it comes standard with a black mark sensor for automatic label detection, a feature available as an option from other manufacturers on the market. For added flexibility, the user can select the detection mode, choosing between a visible mark on the top or bottom of the label. Furthermore, like other products in the range, it benefits from a standard 2-year warranty.
Its magnetically locked structure protects the device from vibrations, regardless of the module's orientation. Fully adjustable, its sensors accommodate various media types for easy handling and quick calibration. Furthermore, the user only needs to open the rear cover to access the label holder and have more space for cleaning the sensors. As for printhead replacement: the rear chassis is removable for any repair or component replacement needs.
The PEX-2000 can be configured using our value-added software tools for remote printer management, TSC Console or SOTI Connect, via an internet or intranet connection, depending on the user's needs. These two tools enable the development, configuration, and rapid updating of print engines from anywhere.
