Cisco ACE, CSS, and LocalDirector have met the needs of many companies for years. However, Cisco has ended the rollout of these technologies and announced the discontinuation of their sales. When this announcement was made, KEMP launched its Cisco IVT-certified ADC solution for Cisco UCS x86 platforms. This allowed customers of both companies to upgrade their deployments using Cisco hardware. Many of these customers have spent the last 12 to 18 months planning their migration to alternative application delivery solutions and have evaluated technologies such as KEMP's LoadMaster.
To help perform this assessment and make the transition as smooth as possible, the new ADC migration tool has been developed to assist throughout the entire process. This tool analyzes the configuration file of a Cisco ACE device and translates it into a format compatible with KEMP LoadMaster. This configuration can then be deployed to an evaluation or production LoadMaster via an API or by importing a backup to map the configuration to published virtual services. This solution is available for all KEMP products, whether hardware, virtual, cloud, or for the operating systems of KEMP Bare Metal solutions (such as Cisco servers).
