In addition to a connection for analog phones and numerous functions such as call forwarding and answering machines, the integrated telephone switchboard also includes a DECT base station. It can be used to connect up to six cordless phones and numerous home automation solutions. Users on 5G networks can now also enjoy the familiar convenience offered by a FRITZ!Box on the local network as the cornerstone of the Mesh network for Wi-Fi, telephony, and home automation. The same applies to the numerous FRITZ!OS functions, such as the firewall, parental controls, and guest access to the wireless network, which are also regularly expanded through free updates.

The FRITZ!Box 6850 5G's smart alignment tool helps users determine the optimal location and best alignment of mobile phone antennas. It is already being launched in some European markets. In Austria, the FRITZ!Box 6850 5G will soon be available from select suppliers and retailers.
