The Synology Router RT1900ac runs on the Synology Router Manager (SRM) operating system, which offers professional connectivity tools at an affordable price. The Layer QoS (Quality of Service) application allows you to monitor and control bandwidth consumption, taking into account both individual devices and applications. The DNS server, which includes web filtering and parental controls, is equipped with a comprehensive database of inappropriate websites. This allows business owners and parents to block thousands of pages and create network access schedules for connected devices with just a few clicks.
Users can download a wide selection of additional software packages from the Synology Package Center, transforming the Synology Router RT1900ac into a VPN server, a RADIUS authentication server, a DNS server, a 24/7 download center, or a media server for homes or offices.
The computer-like interface allows users to manage wireless and network settings smoothly and intuitively. Furthermore, the sophisticated design of the DS router app for Android and iOS devices enables monitoring and allows users to change the Synology Router RT1900ac's settings from anywhere.
In addition to the standard four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, the Synology Router RT1900ac is equipped with three adjustable long-range antennas and the latest 802.11ac wireless technology, enabling it to reach a maximum combined transfer speed of 1900 Mbps. The Synology Router RT1900ac also features a 1 GHz dual-core processor for smooth performance, even when multiple clients are connected. The USB 3.0 port and SD (SDXC) slot allow users to connect external storage devices, giving them the option to connect and share digital content with others. This feature effectively transforms the Synology Router RT1900ac into a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device. Furthermore, compatibility with 3G/4G USB modems allows users to create a fully functional Wi-Fi hotspot in areas with limited wired network infrastructure.
