The new FRITZ!Box 5590 Fiber is a future-proof fiber optic router. Thanks to its high-performance hardware, it supports all fiber optic connections, up to 10 Gbps, and is compatible with Wi-Fi 6. This allows it to deliver wireless speeds of 2400 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 1200 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.

FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber, meanwhile, features interchangeable modules that allow it to be used with all European fiber optic connections (AON, GPON, or XGS-PON). Like its promotional counterpart, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and is compatible with Wi-Fi Mesh for easy and fast connection of all types of devices.fiber-optic-router-fritzbox 5590-2w

FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX Tri-Band Repeater.
With the new FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX, AVM adds a powerful model with tri-band and smart mesh technology to its popular range of Wi-Fi repeaters. It achieves speeds of up to 4200 Mbps to reliably deliver data to every corner of your home network.

The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX is equipped with three radio units (one on the 2.4 GHz band and two on the 5 GHz band) to ensure wireless communication with the router it's connected to, as well as a stable connection for all devices. It supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, allowing it to extend coverage even in areas with numerous adjacent Wi-Fi networks. The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 AX works with all routers in the FRITZ!Box range, as well as equipment from other manufacturers. Setup is as easy as pressing a button, and an app helps users find the best location for the repeater.

Major FRITZ!OS 7.50 update: Over 100 new features

All FRITZ! products (routers, repeaters, phones, smart thermostats, etc.) run on the company's own operating system, FRITZ!OS.

The update also simplifies the setup of VPN connections, increasingly used in remote work, boosts Wi-Fi Mesh performance, and adds voice functionality to FRITZ!Fon phones. FRITZ!OS 7.50 will be available to everyone in a few weeks.

Shorter temperature measurement intervals allow for more precise heating control and easy integration with door and window sensors. The thermostat features an easy-to-read, energy-efficient e-ink display for showing ambient information, as well as four buttons for operating its functions. It can also be conveniently controlled via a wireless push button, the FRITZ!App Smart Home app, a computer, or the FRITZ!Fon, and the batteries last for several years.

“IFA 2022 marks the start of a year in which new network capabilities and energy savings in homes and offices will be key. With our new fiber routers and repeaters, users can be confident that they will benefit from the faster fiber optic speeds already available in some regions of Germany and soon to arrive in Spain. Meanwhile, our growing range of communications and home automation solutions, which combine hardware such as FRITZ!Fon phones and smart thermostats with software such as FRITZ!OS and our practical apps, ensures a smarter, more connected, and energy-efficient home during the challenging winter ahead,” explains Ralf Muntean, Country Manager of AVM in Spain.
