CMIwebThe box is modular, allowing multiple modules to be stacked as needed, and is wall-mounted. Two basic modules are available, both rectangular in shape and identical in appearance and external dimensions, with the capacity to terminate up to 48 fibers in SC adapters. The two modules differ in whether or not they include optical splitters.
Their functionality and design allow them to be used as:
a splice and connector box for standard installations;
a connector box, without the need for splicing, for pre-terminated or field-terminated fibers; and
a splice and optical split box.

- Left Area: Cable Entry and Organization System. On the left side of the module is a removable cover with 3 holes that allow the installation of up to 3 fiber optic cables with a maximum diameter of 16 mm, including one pass-through cable.
In both types of modules, this area houses the optical organization system, which includes all the necessary means and elements for guiding and storing tubes, fibers, fiber tails, splices, connectors, and passive devices.
This section includes the following components:
• Fastening elements for the fiber optic cables entering the box, allowing the cable jacket and aramid sheath to be secured.
• Storage elements for 2.5 mm loose-leaf tubes: maximum 7 tubes of 2.5 mm diameter and 2 m in length.
• Elements for guiding fiber optic tubes to the splice trays, maintaining a minimum bend radius of 30 mm.
• Splice trays located above the hinged door.
• Coupler holder plate for terminating 48 fiber
optic cables. • Support for housing pre-connectorized optical splitters.
Each module can accommodate a maximum of three 1 x 16 splitters measuring 100 x 45 x 10 mm (length x width x height). Only available in the CMI-OP model.
• Elements for guiding and storing excess fiber optic cable lengths, maintaining a minimum bend radius of 20 mm.

- Right area: Fiber optic cable routing. This area is reserved for routing single-fiber cables between stacked modules. A double door provides access to this area. Inside, at the back of the box, are wire guides for routing the fiber optic cables. A removable cover on the top and bottom of the module allows for communication between stacked modules.

Both the outer casing of both types of modules and the various internal components are molded from flame-retardant (low smoke emission, zero halogens, non-flame propagating) plastic material that is non-toxic and dermatologically safe.
Two models are available, depending on whether or not they can accommodate optical dividers.
