The installation of ZOONA access junction boxes is self-explanatory. This saves on training, job preparation, and the use of expensive specialized personnel. Construction crews can install the boxes in manholes and vaults or mount them on masts in just a few steps and without special tools.

It is even more effective with the pre-terminated Precon types of ZOONA splice closures. R&M offers six standard variants with up to 18 pre-terminated cable connections. The Precon solution is suitable for short-term network deployments and distribution infrastructures that need to be configured independently of the subscriber.

Installers can open ZOONA splice boxes in just a few steps to replace or retrofit cables while the network is operational. QIKseal cable ties for individual cables have also been developed for quick and easy installation without requiring any special expertise. QIKseal cable ties are applied in a few steps and screwed onto the cable entry using a pull-out mechanism.

The modular design allows the same enclosure to be used for different applications and loop, splice, and splitter configurations. This enables broadband providers to expand their access networks with a reduced initial investment and to deploy different scenarios based on demand and requirements.

ZOONA outdoor junction boxes meet IP68 protection requirements. They have passed a three-meter water immersion test for seven days. Fiber optic connections remain protected in humid and inclement weather. Furthermore, these junction boxes are suitable as distribution boxes for aerial solutions in harsh environments and for fiber optic connections at mobile cell sites.
