HPR MTP®/MPO and HPR Simplex cables are manufactured to exceed the FOTP171A (A2.2.1) standard performance, as well as the MTP®/MPO-specific IEC 61755-3-31 interferometry standards. Each HPR cable ships with an interferometer report and IL/RL test report so you know exactly what performance to expect.
For MM applications, measurement accuracy and repeatability depend not only on the quality of the cables/connectors used, but also on their ability to maintain specific launch conditions during testing. Standardization bodies agree that bend-insensitive fiber (non-BIMMF) should be used for reference cables, and OptoTest can produce MM HPR cables using this hard-to-find type of fiber.
