The connector offers excellent quality thanks to fusion splicing, with the advantage that the splice protector is located inside the connector.
The assembly process is virtually identical to that of a fusion splicer. Assembly time is less than 1 minute.
It can be mounted on the following cable constructions:

- 2 mm round
- 3x2 mm square drop cables
- 1.6x2 mm square drop cables
- 900 microns
- 250 microns
• Supplied in boxes of 100 units, which also include 1 plastic holder for placing the ferrule in the fusion splicer and the assembly manual
. • UPC connectors have a low return loss polish (less than -50 dB). They are identified by their blue color
. • APC connectors have an 8° convex angle polish with low return loss (less than -60 dB). They are identified by their green color.
