The Fujikura CT-105/106 are Fujikura's first devices to go on sale, and they provide advanced cutting solutions for end users of fiber laser and fiber optic sensor applications - in the oil and gas, university, R&D, submarine cabling, defense, optical components and medical markets.
The new cleavers offer high precision for LDF (Low-Density Fiber) cutting – applicable to optical fibers from 80 to 1250 microns in diameter – and can perform both flat and angled cuts. The CT-106 offers high-precision angled cutting functionality, with cleavage angles of 0-15°.
Its features include: an automatic programmable clamping function, a cleavage angle function, storage for up to 100 program modes, a blade life of 20,000 cuts with a cladding diameter of 125 microns, and a color LCD monitor. It can be applied to optical fibers including not only solid glass fibers, but also microstructured and capillary fibers.
