One of the main features of the new CT11x series is blade management; the automatic positioning of the cutting blade provides consistent cutting quality and prevents users from having to worry about the blade's condition.
The CT11x series is equipped with an RFID receiver that allows the selection of the appropriate cutting mode based on RFID information received from the fiber carrier, which transmits the fiber diameter. With pre-stored programs, it helps eliminate failed cuts due to selecting the wrong program.
The CT115 and CT116 now include automatic backlash protection, an improvement over previous models that required technicians to manually position the backlash protection under the microscope. The new automatic backlash protection feature not only provides better cut quality, especially for large-diameter fibers and complex structures, but also helps protect the blade. Instead of being manually positioned, the backlash protection on the CT115 and CT116 now moves close to the fiber and automatically positions itself for optimal results.
The new CT11x range of cutters strengthens Fujikura's product range, complementing the recently launched FSR range of fiber optic cable sheathers.
