Data transmission is transparent, guaranteeing minimal latency, essential for synchronous systems, and ensuring the security of transferred data by preventing external manipulation. To meet network reliability requirements, the XMUX4+ provides 1+1 and/or 1:1 redundancy, thus offering greater system protection against potential optical network connection failures.
The system's scalability allows support for up to 4 bidirectional channels, expandable to 16 channels, and coexistence with Fibernet's CMUX or DUSAC systems for the creation of mixed CWDM / DWDM networks.
In addition to its clear functionality as a service concentrator, the XMUX4+ features 3R regeneration (remodel, retime, regenerate) for all supported speeds, allowing for higher quality data transmission over long-range networks.
The XMUX4+ device offers multiple usage possibilities, such as the implementation of 8G Storage Area Networks (SAN), 10G Local Area Networks (LAN), Cloud Networking integration platforms, Disaster Recovery applications, Wide Area Network (WAN) platforms, Data Center connectivity, SDH/SONET extension and Mobile Backhaul.
One of the most significant new features of the XMUX4+ is the ability to remotely manage the device via a web-based graphical application. This innovative management platform offers an intuitive environment that quickly and directly displays the device's status, interfaces, and status LEDs. It also allows for event logging and configuration of features such as the transmission protocol.
