Fiber amplifierThe new DF-G1 Expert has two easy-to-read digital displays that simultaneously show the signal level and threshold for simple operation and perfect accuracy.

Its TEACH and SET methods allow users to modify response time, signal level, and sensitivity. This flexibility enables the unit to address a wide range of detection needs, including low-contrast situations, small object detection, and parts position verification.

Applications

The amplifier is designed for use in machines that perform part detection in packaging; electronic assembly; counting of pills, tablets, and syringes for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers; and high-speed edge detection for web processing and material handling. It ensures accurate, low-contrast detection of small objects and supports machines with high density at the detection point, where the fiber optic cable enables precise detection in confined locations.
The detection output is compatible for interconnection with standard PLC and HMI devices, as well as other machine control systems. The advanced crosstalk avoidance algorithm allows multiple sensors to operate in close proximity. The operator can use variable settings to optimize performance for an optimal balance of speed and distance.

The unit's thermally stable electronics minimize heat drift and allow multiple amplifiers to be stacked on standard 35 mm DIN rails. The 10 mm wide housing minimizes space requirements on panels. A lever-action fiber clamp ensures a stable and reliable connection. Robust housing and fiber assemblies enable operation in high-temperature and mechanically demanding environments. Special Teflon-coated fiber assemblies allow detection even in harsh chemical atmospheres.
