Santec Holdings Corporation announces the launch of the OVA-100 Polarization Maintaining (PM) Variable Optical Attenuator. The OVA-100 enables precise optical power control with high accuracy and superior repeatability. With a PER > 23 dB, the OVA-100 PM is virtually invisible in its application. Offering an attenuation range of 60 or 100 dB, covering a wide wavelength range from 1200 to 1700 nm, and excellent repeatability of ±0.01 dB, the OVA-100 PM is constructed with Panda PM fiber.

The power monitoring option can be used to automatically adjust the attenuation to achieve a constant power level. The small 2U desktop form factor can accommodate up to 4 channels and can be integrated into a rack system using a rack-mount kit. For a higher number of channels, up to 8, a larger 3U rack-mount enclosure is available.

The OVA-100 can be seamlessly integrated into various test setups using SCPI commands via USB or Ethernet. It also features a standard front-panel touchscreen for convenient local control.
