The IMC, which has quickly gained more than 10,000 members, is made up almost entirely of original equipment manufacturers, enterprise users and application developers, and is intended to boost knowledge and sales within the IoT.
The IMC attracts new members by producing content that is targeted at various vertical markets, including energy, logistics, healthcare, transportation, construction, and retail, among others.
About 30% of IMC members come from Europe, 25% from North America, and 18% from Asia, while the rest of the members are from other regions.
The IMC recently unveiled its Quarterly IoT Buyers' Index, which surveys members about their purchasing patterns for IoT solutions across vertical market sectors and other factors. The IMC aims to have 15,000 members by the end of 2015.
