OMRON and Cognizant will offer a unique, comprehensive solution to accelerate the digital transformation of the sector. This collaboration combines OMRON's OT products—sensors, controllers, servomotors, safety systems, and robots—with Cognizant's capabilities in IT technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, IoT, and digital twins.

The agreement includes consulting services, on-site implementation, operation, and maintenance. The main sectors targeted by this joint proposal include automotive, semiconductors, electronics, industrial manufacturing, life sciences, and consumer goods.

“OMRON has one of the broadest ranges of industrial automation equipment on the market, and Cognizant brings extensive experience in building robust and secure technological environments geared towards predictive and proactive decision-making through the use of data and artificial intelligence,” says Junta Tsujinaga, CEO of OMRON Corporation. “With this alliance, we aim to bridge the gap between OT and IT to drive the creation of smart, sustainable, and highly productive factories.”

“Customers need a strategic partner with deep industry knowledge, comprehensive capabilities, and experience managing complex technologies within the digital factory environment,” explains Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant. “This collaboration with OMRON allows us to deliver a joint value proposition globally to transform the manufacturing sector.”
“Together, we aspire to build a connected, intelligent, autonomous, sustainable, and resilient industry,” he concludes.
