The agreement was signed by Pascual Dedios-Pleite, director of the Digital Factory of Siemens Spain and President of Siemens Industry Software, and by Guillermo Cisneros Pérez, rector of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Guillermo Cisneros emphasized that this agreement represents "a further step in the ongoing university-business partnership, which we are committed to and which is one of the hallmarks of the UPM. The learning and use of SINUMERIK that our professors will gain—by virtue of this agreement—will directly impact the training our students receive, with the added value of keeping them up-to-date with the new technologies currently being used in Industry 4.0.".

For his part, Pascual Dedios-Pleite emphasized that "apprenticeship training is essential to ensure the continuity of skilled labor and engineering in factories that are committed to achieving the highest level of technology in their processes. Agreements like the one signed with the Polytechnic University of Madrid to train in SINUMERIK technology are a major step towards excellence."
This
training initiative will benefit a large portion of the 3,000 professors and 40,000 students at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, given that SINUMERIK is a tool and a standard applicable across all engineering disciplines that affect manufacturing processes in industrial production.

This agreement is part of Siemens' MTEXPERT program, the global framework for training and developing experts in SINUMERIK. Given the importance of education and its value as the future of industry, Siemens considers it essential to be involved in training future machine operators and CNC engineers, sharing its expertise with them as directly as possible. Partners in SINUMERIK are a perfect way to achieve this goal, providing significant added value through their ongoing collaboration.

All partners receive a commitment from Siemens to receive regular training to stay up to date on the latest trends and advancements in the SINUMERIK world and to be able to pass this knowledge on to their students.
