Specifically, they will focus on some of the emerging aspects of testing and measurement related to the testing of 5G, LTE-A Pro, Connected Home and M2M devices.

5G Devices and Infrastructure:
A key issue under discussion in the mobile communications sector, and especially in the test and measurement segment, will be the emergence of new technologies that enable next-generation 5G networks. While the debate focuses primarily on the implementation of a new air interface, the 5G network will have end-to-end implications across the entire network and all service areas. Anritsu will cover these aspects:
• R&D developments for test and measurement for the new 5G interface, with practical examples such as LTE-A Pro extended to 1 Gbps.
• The need for testing new experimental waveforms, millimeter waves, OTA, and massive MIMO on the air interface, the new 5G air interface, and the evolution of LTE-A towards the 3GPP Rel 14 & 15 LTE-A Pro standards.
• RF and CPRI testers, testing for optical transport networks that support the deployment of the new C-RAN technology, as well as the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SDN and NFV transport networks.
• The most demanding test requirements for ultra-high-speed broadband and enhanced machine-type communications (eMTC) that require the implementation of the most advanced UE technology on the MD8430A/RTD test platform, as well as the test methods for the unique applications and connectivity of the MD8475A.

Connectivity:
Whether delivered through IoT, M2M, V2X, or the "connected home," connectivity drives innovation and new applications for wireless connectivity, while also creating new testing and measurement needs. Short-range wireless technologies demand cost-effective manufacturing solutions to deliver low-cost devices that meet the necessary quality validation. MWC will be a showcase for Anritsu to demonstrate some of its solutions:
• The MT8870A Universal Wireless Network Tester, the MD8475A Application Tester (network simulator), and MasterClaw (service assurance platform) to address the growing need for IoT testing, manufacturing, and deployment.
• The RTD/MD8430A Device Testing Platform used to verify utilization and troubleshoot integration in wireless circuit kits and modules within IoT systems.

Service Assurance:
The increasing complexity of infrastructure networks necessitates a greater service assurance through customer experience analytics powered by Big Data. Anritsu will demonstrate its leadership in Customer Experience Analytics, including real-time visualization, network virtualization, and information delivery.
