In addition, Vertiv has been collaborating with NVIDIA for several years on the research, development, engineering and design of innovative products and solutions that facilitate the deployment of NVIDIA technology globally, with equipment that supports the new generation of GPUs (which securely run AI workloads with significant computing requirements), optimizing performance and maximizing availability.
Strategy for acquiring new companies to develop AI (CoolTera and E&I) Founded in 2016 and headquartered in the UK, CoolTera provides liquid cooling infrastructure solutions and designs and manufactures coolant distribution units (CDUs), secondary fluid networks (SFNs), and manifolds for liquid cooling solutions in data centers. CoolTera and Vertiv have been technology partners for three years and have collaborated on multiple global deployments in data centers and supercomputing systems.
The acquisition of CoolTera will bring advanced cooling technology, extensive technical expertise, controls and systems, manufacturing and testing capabilities for high-density computing requirements, which will be added to the already robust portfolio of thermal management solutions, thus complementing the essential solutions for the future of AI.
Vertiv's channel team continues to evolve and adapt to new market needs. With the aim of continuing to offer top-tier support to its partners, Vertiv has appointed Isabel Pinto as Distribution Channel Manager for Spain. Isabel is already familiar with the company, having held this position in Portugal for over a year. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing the non-IT channel (Ibersystem, Aselcom, and Berdin).
In Isabel's words: “I am incredibly excited about this new challenge within the company, as I become the point of contact for the electricity wholesalers in Spain (Aselcom, Berdin, and Ibersystem). Furthermore, it will allow me to actively collaborate in the development of the Spanish electricity channel with the support of the rest of our local team.”
Conclusion
The unprecedented growth in artificial intelligence use cases has made expert knowledge essential, including in data centers, to meet the demands of this technology.
Vertiv recognizes the importance of its channel partners in supporting its customers in adopting this technology and, more broadly, in their digital transformation. Partners understand the needs and specific characteristics of the companies they work with, enabling them to advise on the optimal solutions and services. In the words of Miguel del Moral, “The channel can identify the businesses and areas where companies would benefit most from AI, and advise them on the best infrastructure and services to maximize the potential of this technology.”
