Panduit's plug-and-play HDBaseT expansion boxes are the smallest on the market, saving space and maintaining a clean aesthetic by mounting them under desks and behind monitors using the included mounting ears. Unlike other expansion boxes on the market, only one side (transmitter or receiver) requires a power supply, which then transmits power to the other device for simplified installation.
"HDBaseT is becoming the standard for transmitting high-definition audio and video over Category 1 cabling," says Mike McGrath, director of product management and engineering for Panduit's enterprise business. "We're excited to further support customers using HDBaseT in their buildings, and our partners installing A/V as part of their cabling system.".
The HDMI connection cables support HDMI high bit rate audio pass-through and comply with HDMI 2.0 certification.
Both A/V offerings are ideal for use in classrooms, conference rooms, as well as training rooms, auditoriums, and digital signage.
In addition to these two new products, wall and table recessed connection boxes, ADA plant trunking, USB patch cables, an HDBaseT wall plate transmitter, an HDBaseT receiver with "de-embedding" audio and a new "pass-through" faceplate will be available from mid-year.
