As part of the business potential of "new ways of working" designed to modernize virtual collaboration across NATO's multiple networks, the Polycom® RealPresence® Platform will represent NATO's first hybrid video, voice, and data (VTC) collaboration system. This implementation will reach all NATO employees, military commanders, and deployed units, taking them far beyond the traditional workplace. Furthermore, it will provide the flexibility and ability to secure collaborative communications regardless of conditions or location. Polycom will play a significant role in the ANWI project, building a viable UC&C service that can be widely used across the NATO organization to support decision-making, collaboration, and coordination.

In addition to deploying the RealPresence Platform across NATO's networks, Polycom will also equip the organization's new facility with 2,500 of its industry-leading Polycom® VVX® multimedia business phones for use with Skype for Business. Return on investment, resource savings, application expansion, and maintaining all the benefits for NATO are paramount in this new infrastructure and its operations. While the initial deployment at NATO's new headquarters will focus on general services, the Polycom RealPresence Platform offers the potential to scale into a more comprehensive UCC infrastructure that will help empower the organization's "new ways of working.".
