Applications of Thermography:
Thermal imaging cameras quickly assess the condition of assets and are commonly used in industrial maintenance and facilities management applications. By capturing infrared images, these cameras detect non-uniformity in equipment, indicating the presence of hot and cold spots on surfaces. Heat is often the first indication that equipment is damaged or malfunctioning, making it a factor that must be considered in preventive maintenance plans. Thermography is also used for predictive maintenance in processing plants, industrial quality control, electric utilities, and building inspections.

Advantages of the lens:
The smart wide-angle infrared lens offers a wider field of view, which is especially useful when inspecting large areas, such as ceilings or roofs, or when monitoring assets in confined spaces. The smart 2x telephoto infrared lens is capable of magnifying twice as much as a standard lens, allowing the technician to remain at a safe distance from the subject being photographed.
