In other words, it will be the only national company and one of the main ones at the European level that can offer this data and application hosting service to companies, to guarantee the maximum security and confidentiality of their data, improve IT management processes and at the same time reduce costs.

Also attending the event were: the Rector of Jaume I University, Vicente Climent, the Mayor of Castellón, Alfonso Bataller, the President of the Provincial Council, Javier Moliner and the Deputy Government Delegate in Castellón, Antonio Miguel Lorenzo; accompanied by the President of Tissat, Rafael Ripoll, the CEO, Manolo Escuin and the Director of Operations, Rafael Cervera.

The center, named Walhalla, which means "temple or abode of the gods" in Germanic mythology, has received the highest possible rating for a data center: Tier IV certification from the Uptime Institute. This represents the highest level of availability and service continuity a data center can guarantee, regardless of any circumstance (technical or weather-related, cyber or terrorist attacks, or natural disasters). Only 13 centers worldwide possess this level of security, four of which are located in Europe.

The building, erected in record time just six months after the groundbreaking ceremony, is located in the science, technology, and business park (Espaitec) of Jaume I University in Castellón and represents an investment of €10 million. Walhalla will be able to house up to 24,000 servers, ready to offer a wide range of cloud computing services, based on lower energy consumption and greater competitiveness.

Tissatlevanta1The physical system is based on the TIA 942 standard and the Uptime Institute's Tier IV rating.
It is an eco-efficient data center. It has a PUE of less than 1.11, meaning that for every kW used for power, only 0.11 kW are used for cooling, which equates to a 41% energy saving and a 12% reduction in CO2 emissions.

Its distinctive energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technology sets this center apart from others worldwide. Thanks to this project, Tissat will be able to offer its high-value-added ICT services not only to companies in the Valencian Community but also nationally and internationally. Furthermore, the province of Castellón will become a technological benchmark for energy efficiency and cost savings from the moment of its opening.
