The most innovative and engaging part of the day was undoubtedly the presentation of an industrial line automation project that combined Eplan's software (Electric P8, Pro Panel, and Cabinet); Phoenix's marking solutions; and Rittal's RiTherm climate calculation platform.
The key to success: integration.
Starting with an idealized real-world case, the three companies explained, phase by phase, how to solve a complex project in a simple, integrated, and efficient way. Eplan played a leading role in the first phase, Project Design, thanks to its Electric P8 platform, ideally suited for designing the line's electrical schematic.
Once the engineering phase was complete, it was time for Optimization: how to move from engineering to production.
This task was handled by Phoenix Contact's Clip Project Advanced, which quickly and easily identified, planned, and estimated the cost of the components needed for automation. The optimization phase concluded with the selection of the appropriate enclosure, thanks to the Rittal catalog, accessible through the Eplan Data Portal application.
The final phase, Assembly, began with terminal marking using Phoenix's Marking System. However, the most significant factor in this final phase was undoubtedly Rittal with Rittal Therm 6.1a, which simplifies temperature calculations in industrial enclosures and the selection of the most suitable climate control system. Once the system and enclosure were chosen, Eplan Pro Panel, a new feature from Eplan, enabled the creation of a 3D design of the final enclosure.
In short, a fruitful day that allowed attendees to see how collaboration between companies can be the key to solving difficult projects.
