Integrated Systems Events CEO Mike Blackman explained: “We made this decision after extensive discussions with our exhibitors over the past few months, and especially the last 10 days. There has always been clear demand for a four-day ISE in Barcelona in June. However, the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and international travel means we cannot hold ISE 2021 in its traditional format. Our exhibitors have made it clear that there is a desire to bring the industry together, but on a local level. As a result, we are targeting key European markets in the audiovisual sector, aiming to deliver a high-quality audience eager to meet with potential suppliers, existing customers, and network with their peers.”.
More information about the digital and local events will be published in the coming days; in summary:
ISE Live & Online Program

June 8-9, MAC Forum Munich (Tuesday/Wednesday)
June 15-16, RAI Amsterdam (Tuesday/Wednesday)
June 23-24, Evolution Battersea London (Wednesday/Thursday)
“COVID has taught us all to listen more carefully,” said David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA. “To listen to our neighbors, our families, our colleagues, our customers, and our market. I believe this approach reflects what we’ve heard—a strong desire for prudent and safe face-to-face meetings that can strengthen business connections and kick-start recovery. We are honored to be in a position to offer all of this to our community.”.
Giles Sutton, Deputy CEO of CEDIA, added: “Everyone in the industry is missing the human interaction, which is such a vital part of our industry: the opportunity not only to see, hear, and touch new products and innovations in our sector, but also everything that ISE brings in terms of learning, networking, and that important sense of community. The ISE team has worked tirelessly to ensure that guidelines are in place to protect our exhibitors and in-person visitors. However, there is still uncertainty surrounding current travel restrictions and the ability of our global audience to participate in person. The success of ISE has been built on the broad support of the industry, and that is why we have made these decisions this week. We are eager to debut in Barcelona with a show where our community can come together again in February 2022.”.
Mike Blackman concluded: “We are honored by the numerous messages of support we have received from our customers and partners, who have appreciated the steps we have taken. We look forward to continuing to serve the industry in the coming year and are eager to be back together in Barcelona to deliver the ISE show in February 2022.”.
