During the award ceremony, Frank Stührenberg, Executive Vice President of Sales and member of the Board of Directors of Phoenix Contact, commented: “It is a pleasure for me to present this award to RS, as they truly deserve it for their excellent work. Both RS and Phoenix Contact are multinational companies with a global presence, which gives us the opportunity to reach many customers. RS has key target groups for us, and we are confident that our customers receive an unbeatable level of service that matches the quality of our product range.”

The numerous new product introductions from the manufacturer to the RS catalog are clear evidence of the strong alliance between the two companies, which have adopted a European approach to better meet their customers' needs. Phoenix Contact has offices in 47 countries and representation in another 30. RS, for its part, serves approximately 1.5 million customers in more than 80 countries worldwide. Similar to RS's European regionalization strategy, Phoenix Contact has implemented a joint sales strategy in Europe to provide a rapid response to customer requests.
RS customers benefit from Phoenix Contact's next-generation industrial automation products. The ranges of solid-state contactors, safety relays, and power supplies have been expanded to meet growing customer demand in both general-purpose and specialized applications.

PIT Push-In Technology:
The most recent example of a Phoenix Contact product launch through RS is the PIT push-in technology for tool-free conductor connection. The PIT DIN rail terminal block range has been expanded to accommodate even larger cross-sections up to 6 mm². This includes through-type, multi-level, multi-conductor, and disconnect terminal blocks. Using the PIT modular push-in terminal blocks, cables are now connected directly without any tools. As soon as the conductor is inserted, the contact springs open automatically. With 50% less insertion force, connecting a conductor and establishing contact has never been easier or more efficient. The PIT range leverages the advantages offered by the complete Clipline terminal block system. This includes interchangeable connection technologies and standardized accessories such as jumpers and testing and marking accessories.
Cooperation with Phoenix Contact is the model RS follows for approaching its suppliers and developing long-term relationships with them. Klaus Göldenbot, Regional Director for EMEA at RS, describes it this way: “For us at RS, building close relationships with our suppliers is one of the key elements of our European strategy. Our alliance with Phoenix Contact is emblematic of this. RS works very closely with this leading manufacturer of electrical and electronic industrial technology at all levels of its organization. The development of our business with Phoenix Contact also demonstrates the benefits of having a common approach to our strategic partners. RS’s robust pan-European structure now allows us, more than ever, to respond more quickly to our customers’ demands. RS now has an unprecedented reach of half a million customers in Europe.” Both partners will also take a step forward in innovation, thanks to their strong commitment to new e-commerce solutions aimed at improving the customer experience.
