The agreement between Televés and MST, Malla Saban TRD was signed in Damascus during a seminar attended by over 200 people from the telecommunications sector, as well as local authorities. At the same event, Televés presented its solutions for MATV, SMATV, fiber optics, IPTV, and broadcast systems.
Syria represents a further step in the deployment of the company's international strategy. Televes Corporation has production facilities in Spain and Portugal, and also has subsidiaries in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, the United States, China, and the United Arab Emirates. This strategic base allows the company to sell its products in more than 80 countries.
The experience gained in Southeast African and Southwest Asian markets has been a decisive factor in Televés's entry into Syria, a country with over 19 million inhabitants and a strong rate of demographic and economic growth.
Business Opportunities:
Satellite is the dominant television signal distribution technology in Syria. The government recently approved a regulation mandating the installation of collective satellite reception systems in new buildings and the gradual removal of existing individual equipment. Another significant business opportunity will arise from the future launch of digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasts in the country.
The agreement signed with MST, Malla Saban TRD, a company with extensive experience in the electrical sector and a strong presence in new construction, puts Televés in a prime position to capitalize on these opportunities in the Syrian market.
Entering the Syrian market represents another step in Televés Corporation's international expansion strategy, with the goal of continuing to increase its international sales and reaching 50% of total revenue in the medium term.
