Opened last September, Juventus Stadium is one of the most modern and advanced sports venues in the world. It has a capacity of 41,000 spectators, with 3,600 premium seats and 120 VIP boxes. It also houses the club museum, a 34,000-square-meter retail and leisure area, and a parking garage for 4,000 vehicles. The project represents an investment of €122 million and was developed according to the most demanding criteria for quality, safety, and sustainability.

The stadium of Juventus—the nickname of Italy's most decorated football club—is also a leading example of the use of new technologies to enhance spectacle, comfort, and security. Through its Italian subsidiary, Televes Corporation has successfully met the challenge of equipping this state-of-the-art venue with the most advanced telecommunications facilities for television signal distribution. To achieve this, a project has been implemented that integrates digital technology equipment with fiber optic solutions, IPTV, and Video on Demand.

Digital Television, IPTV, and Video on Demand:
The heart of the installation is a control room that manages the equipment transmitting television signals to telecommunications equipment distributed throughout the stadium, including eight restaurants and 20 bars, the VIP area, the locker rooms, the Partner's Club, four suites, and 62 sky boxes (private boxes), which feature, among other amenities, screens integrated into the seats.
The installation ensures the digitization and distribution of the signal captured by the cameras, guaranteeing its delivery in optimal condition to both the media area and more than 400 televisions located in various parts of the stadium.

This project, carried out entirely with equipment from Televés and Arantia (the Corporation's technology subsidiary), has demonstrated Televes Corporation's leadership in the European MATV/SMATV sector and represents an important endorsement of the quality of the brand's equipment, designed and manufactured in the company's facilities under the seal of European Technology Made in Europe.

Installation Details:
Televés equipment is present at the installation from the very beginning, from the reception of the terrestrial television signal, which is carried out using several antennas, including a DAT HD BossTech, Televés' most advanced digital antenna. The signals are mixed and sent to a single-channel fiber optic headend via an optical transmitter.
Satellite signals are also received with Televés equipment. In this case, two parabolic dishes with optical LNBs are used, each of which sends the channels to the distribution headend.

This headend is a modular Televés T0X unit, offering a fully digital output. It is operated remotely from the stadium's control room. Given the considerable distances to be covered by cabling, a fiber optic infrastructure was chosen for both the input and output of the headend.

Televes1The signals from the cameras distributed throughout the stadium are collected and digitized using Televés modulators, and then sent to both the main broadcast console and the media box.
At the main console, which offers 18 digital terrestrial television (DTT) channels, the signals are processed and equalized to create a fully digital stream that is distributed throughout the stadium, passing through seven coaxial conversion and amplification substations. This allows users to select their desired channel on each of the 400 televisions in the venue.

The digital signal from the headend is transmitted via fiber optic cable, including to the stadium's central data network hub, where various equipment is installed, most notably an IPTV headend and the middleware server for delivering interactive and Video on Demand services. This equipment distributes the IP signal to the stadium's main entrance, the locker rooms, the Partner's Club, the suites, and the private boxes, reaching a total of 73 televisions. The IP signal is received by the STB2010 HD, also designed and manufactured by Televés. The number of televisions will increase in the near future when another 40 private boxes are added.

This data infrastructure is implemented through equipment from Arantia, a technology subsidiary of Televes Corporation specializing in the development and implementation of end-to-end IPTV platforms and Interactive Digital Television solutions for operators and service providers.
