The consortium is made up of 10 entities from 6 different countries, including prestigious European universities, as well as research centers and private companies, such as Bosch.

The ALFIE project seeks to provide ethical, transparent and accessible AI that integrates and addresses ethical considerations in its development, democratize AI and empower all people, and foster a robust landscape regarding artificial intelligence in the European Union to achieve a global impact.

“At Bosch, we don’t just develop advanced technology: we design it to improve people’s lives. With ALFIE, we apply our AI expertise to ensure a fairer, more accessible, and human-centered digital future,” says Juan Antonio Relaño, CIO of Bosch Spain.

The ALFIE consortium is building an artificial intelligence ecosystem that combines technological innovation with ethical commitment, developing two strategic pillars:

EthiTech Dialogue Hub (ETD Hub): a digital dialogue platform where AI experts, policymakers, legal professionals, and citizens exchange ideas on the ethical and legal use of artificial intelligence.
AutoML Platform: an automated tool for creating and evaluating AI models without requiring advanced technical knowledge. Bosch contributes to the design of the algorithms, architecture, and ethical standards of this platform, ensuring that the resulting models are auditable, explainable, and compliant with European AI regulations.
Both solutions are based on a modular architecture that is scalable and transferable to multiple educational and organizational contexts across the European Union.

Bosch Spain is leading the "Use Case Validation" work package, which will showcase the capabilities of the AutoML platform. The goal is to provide a practical demonstration of how users, including professionals with no prior experience in machine learning, can easily leverage it for their specific tasks. In this case, Bosch Spain will demonstrate and validate the AutoML platform in an industrial environment through process automation, big data analysis, and customer experience.
