The Huesca Provincial Council's Digital Project encompasses all the initiatives the Provincial Council is developing to improve services and information systems through the use of new technologies. The public portal, the Municipal Extranet, the Local Administration PISTA initiative, Rural Internet, the Telecentre program, and digital literacy activities are the cornerstones of this important commitment to the progress of the province of Huesca.

Ramón Miranda, Deputy for New Technologies, highlighted "the great utility of new technologies in promoting the economic and social development of the Alto Aragón province under conditions of equality." During the presentation, Miranda also emphasized the importance of leveraging these new advancements to improve administrative management and facilitate procedures for citizens.

This project involves the signing of an agreement between the Huesca Provincial Council and the local entities of the province, to be signed on June 29th, with the aim of decentralizing public services so that citizens can have access to the same services and efficiency anywhere in the province of Huesca. The Huesca Provincial Council will provide these municipalities with the PISTA LOCAL tool, which will allow them to create their own municipal portal adapted to the needs of each entity. With the launch of the HUESCA DIGITAL PROVINCIAL COUNCIL initiative, the New Technologies Commission intends to establish e-government services in all institutions and local entities in the province of Huesca, with the goal of enabling the administrations closest to the citizens to lead technological development.

The outreach campaign for this project, which revolves around two key pillars, will differentiate between the two main target groups. Firstly, the Provincial Council will explain to the municipalities, in an information session to be held in June, the advantages this initiative offers to their daily work and the services they provide to citizens. Secondly, the municipalities will receive personalized support programs and training materials to facilitate learning how to use these new communication tools.

Furthermore, the Provincial Council will begin this June a dissemination plan to show citizens, through different media (press, radio and Internet), the usefulness of the services offered by this public portal (www.dphuesca.es) in different areas and everyday situations.
