At the meeting, held in Malaga, Spain, it was confirmed that Keysight's 5G Network Emulation Conformity Testing Platform (TP168) offers the most comprehensive coverage of GCF validation test cases. This includes industry-leading GCF validation for 5G NR Radio Conformity Testing (RCT) in Frequency Band 2 (FR2). By accessing a complete set of RF test cases on a single platform, device manufacturers can easily and cost-effectively accelerate GCF certification, ensuring their devices meet 3GPP standards. Furthermore, Keysight is currently the only vendor with PTCRB-validated RF test cases in FR2. Consequently, customers of Keysight's 5G network emulation solutions can comprehensively address the specific 3GPP requirements for 5G NR mmWave deployments.

The commercial rollout of 5G technology is accelerating to address a broad range of consumer and cross-industry use cases. As a result, mobile device manufacturers need early and continuous access to the latest RF testing specifications, radio resource management (RRM), and 3GPP protocol compliance for timely 5G NR device certification. Conformance testing adopted by certification bodies, such as GCP, helps ensure that commercial 5G devices meet the latest 3GPP release specifications and perform as expected on mobile networks.
“The confirmation of our leading position in 5G NR test cases at GCF for RCT is a result of Keysight’s close collaborations with market leaders, leadership in standards development, and being the first to launch 5G test solutions,” said Kailash Narayanan, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s wireless testing group. "We are pleased to play a key role in making the early commercial deployment of 5G a reality by enabling our customers to evolve with the requirements of the latest 3GPP conformance testing."

Earlier this year, Keysight announced that, following CAG#58, the company's 5G compliance toolkit supported the largest number of validated RF compliance test cases and PTCRB and GCF protocols for 5G NR in both non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) modes. In January, Keysight became the first to achieve GCF approval for its non-standalone 5G NR test cases, enabling the mobile ecosystem to accelerate protocol and RF device certification.

Keysight's 5G RF/RRM compliance toolkit is part of the company's suite of 5G network emulation solutions. It enables mobile operators, chip and device manufacturers, and testing labs to validate new devices at any stage of the workflow, from initial design to manufacturing, across sub-6GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2) frequency bands. The suite leverages the company's 5G UXM Wireless Platform to provide early access to a comprehensive range of test cases on a common platform. By addressing all global testing requirements on a single solution platform, Keysight enables the mobile industry to accelerate the certification of multimode 5G devices across various form factors.
