The new products, which make up the new NXC5200 controller series and the NWA5160N, NWA5550N and NWA5560N access points, will provide high performance based on the 802.11n standard, backward compatible with previous standards, and guaranteed mobility for large and medium-sized businesses.
The NXC5200 boasts features that enable quick and easy deployment and maintenance. The controller and the access points it manages can recognize each other, facilitating seamless connectivity. Once configuration is complete, the data can be sent to the network administrators, simplifying the management of each access point and reducing the effort required for network setup and configuration.
Similarly, the data of each virtual AP can be configured locally by the controller as a bridge or done from the controller itself, thus achieving improved management.
The enterprise WLAN controller system provides a centralized and scalable solution, supporting from 48 entry-level access points up to 240 through license purchases, thus expanding the network as needed. Furthermore, it allows network administrators to individually manage wireless network channels in both configurations (controller and access points) and deliver data from a central location with zero roaming delay.
The NXC5200 also comes enriched with various types of firewall features that help build a secure wireless boundary.
Equipped with robust WLAN security features (WEP, WPA and WPA2), as well as integrated and license-based IDP and AV firewalls, the NXC5200 represents the ideal solution, not only in wireless data encryption, but also in preventing threats, whether for mobile users or the main network.
The robust design of the ZyXEL WLAN Controller system ensures a sound investment in equipment, as it can handle the bandwidth requirements of current 802.11a/b/g/n standards. Furthermore, intelligent data routing allows the ZyXEL WLAN Controller to offload network load, delivering 11n performance to users and providing transfer rates of up to 300 Mbps.
