With the release of 1,000 state-of-the-art 3D connector models from Molex, the range of Molex 3D models available on RS now covers more than 7,000 products. Over 1,000 3D part models from Omron have also been added to the RS library, including tactile pushbuttons and DIP switches, as well as flow sensors, microswitches, and relays.
The sheer number of product models available through the RS library is unmatched in the industry. Users now have access to over 30,000 certified 3D CAD models of electronic and mechanical components. Registered users can download models from the RS website in up to 23 CAD-neutral and native file formats, allowing engineers to select their preferred model for their CAD package for mechanical design. Each model includes a part number and ordering information, simplifying the purchasing process and enabling the rapid development of new designs.
According to Mark Cundle, Technical Marketing Director at RS Components: “Producing 3D CAD models can be very time-consuming for engineers involved in electronic design. By expanding our range of 3D CAD models, we can offer our customers access to the most comprehensive online product library, with a greater availability of CAD files, all available for free download from a single site. This is an essential part of our support for engineers with reliable technical information and online resources that allows them to find, design, and purchase in one place.”.
