Cortx Service Orchestrator provides enhanced lifecycle management for revenue-generating data connectivity services that require high service reliability and are deployed across complex networks spanning multiple technologies and vendors. Orchestrated service deployments include mobile backup, cloud data center peering, enterprise connectivity, and machine-to-machine communications using IP VPNs, MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, Ethernet over SONET, and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
Building on existing market-leading capabilities, the benefits of the new Cortx Service Orchestrator Release 5.1 include:
- Enhanced scalability and performance based on a robust, widely distributed architecture that supports the ingestion and processing of terabytes of
network data per day, enabling large-scale big data visualization, real-time analytics, and alarming across millions of network paths.
- Innovative, network-centric, real-time search capabilities that allow hundreds of concurrent users to navigate network data using intuitive features such as context-based search suggestions.
- Real-time network performance enhancement, utilization, and predictive analytics that correlates and compares disparate data sources to accurately assess and manage network capacity.
- Configurable policies for automated bandwidth upgrades via Just-In-Time Capacity Management, reducing upgrade intervals and costs while ensuring customer experience quality.
- Easy deployment and integration for all types of network architectures and topologies, using machine learning to popularize a comprehensive information service model and build a complete view of network paths. The integrity of the model is maintained through the continuous auditing of
hundreds of thousands of networked entities per day.
“We’ve received overwhelming feedback from our customers regarding the ease of use of our enhanced Cortx Service Orchestrator interface. Real-time predictive search allows them to quickly refine the names of specific services, customers, sites, or vendors simply by starting to type in the search bar,” said Chris Purdy, Chief Technology Officer at CENX. “We are defining the future of service orchestration by breaking down the traditional OSS functional silo and providing an easy-to-use, scalable platform built on next-generation open-source technologies.”.
"Large Tier 1 service providers that are moving to NFV are concerned about the impact it will have on their operations," said Caroline Chappell, principal cloud and NFV analyst at Heavy Reading. "The service lifecycle orchestration tool that manages networks in real time and at scale is the necessary precursor to virtualizing network functions.".
