For such situations, CONTA-CLIP now offers the GSM-TMM modem, which converts all fault output messages from the controller into text messages and automatically sends them to up to five recipients. The GSM-TMM module uses LTE-M or NB-IoT mobile communication standards, ensuring cost-effective and low-power operation. The compact device is housed in a casing measuring only 40 mm x 65 mm x 110 mm and is suitable for all controllers with a live interference output. It is ready for operation after following a few simple steps. For easy configuration, the modem connects via USB to a PC running at least Windows 10.
During this process, the GSM-TMM does not require any additional power. Once the SIM card is inserted, the modem and controller fault outputs are powered by a 230 V AC, 12 V DC, or 24 V AC/DC power supply connected to the modem's external screw terminals. The modem has a red/green LED on the front panel that indicates, either by flashing or remaining lit, operating status, text message transmission, configuration errors, and potential reception problems.
