According to Avnet Embedded, the Cinterion Quad-Band MC55iT and Dual-Band MC52iT take Cinterion's MC55i platform to a new level. With an extended operating temperature range, the new terminals can be used in a variety of M2M business fields, such as remote measurement and maintenance, traffic systems, transportation and logistics, and security. Mechanically and electrically compatible with the existing TC35iT and MC35iT, the new terminals enable a simpler and more seamless migration to the next generation of M2M terminals.
The MC55i terminals are quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/GPRS units with GPRS-based Class 10 data transmission and TCP/IP connectivity in a compact, plug-and-play housing. They offer a range of common interfaces, as well as an integrated SIM card, making this new generation an all-in-one solution for voice, data, SMS, and fax communication. The dual-band (900/1800 MHz) variant, designated MC52iT, offers similar functionality with GPRS Class 8 support for M2M applications.
Like all Cinterion products, the MC52iT / MC55iT come with full type approval and are certified according to automotive e-mark, as well as by major operators worldwide.
