Comments from Cato Skibsted Fagermo, Business Development Director at NeoCortec: “Our NeoMesh wireless networking solution offers significant advantages in terms of massive scalability, ultra-low power consumption, and robustness compared to other wireless technologies currently on the market, especially for smart buildings and workplaces. We are very pleased that Endrich’s experienced and service-oriented team will now be promoting our products.” Jens Kattenbusch, Product Manager for Wireless Connectivity & IoT Solutions at Endrich, adds: “We are delighted to establish this partnership with NeoCortec as our newest supplier. With our strong focus on the Smart Building market, among others, we are confident that NeoCortec is the right fit to support us and our customers.”

NeoCortec's NeoMesh wireless network modules are based on a decentralized mesh of autonomous nodes that do not rely on a network coordinator. A virtually unlimited number of nodes can be added to an existing network. This means that even the largest buildings can be covered by a single network without any additional infrastructure. NeoMesh uses highly precise time synchronization between nodes, allowing them to sleep and wake up efficiently only when needed. Most of the time, the nodes are asleep with their radios turned off. However, at scheduled intervals, the radios wake up to listen for messages and transmit them if necessary, before returning to sleep.

This approach results in an average power consumption of only a few tens of microamps, enabling operation on a single set of two AA batteries for several years. The unique NeoCortec protocol stack is offered for both 2.4 GHz and sub-GHz frequency bands, in a range of pre-approved modules, as well as through a license for selected SoCs. The modules are suitable for a wide range of IoT-based and cloud-based sensor network applications, including smart buildings and workplaces, metering, security, agriculture, transportation, Industry 4.0, healthcare, and food distribution. All NeoCortec modules share the same tiny footprint of 11 x 18 x 2.6 mm, so there is no need to change the target product to support a full range of frequency bands.
