The MobileView panel is ideal for maintenance, machine setup, calibration, and other applications that require the operator to see the machine. The addition of a wired emergency stop button and three-position switch supports applications requiring local safety functionality.
"To make an adjustment at the terminal and see the results on the machine, a fixed operator terminal, in certain applications, requires an operator to move around to visually monitor the machine," says Matt Hansen, senior product manager at Rockwell Automation. "The MobileView panel puts the terminal in the operator's hands to increase productivity and safety. Tasks become more efficient, and machines are set up faster."
The MobileView panel complements Allen-Bradley's PanelView range of operator terminals, providing manufacturers and operators with a variety of fixed and mobile devices for different applications. It also utilizes Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (ME) software, allowing users to develop and repurpose their software applications across the MobileView and PanelView platforms.
Three cable length options—5 meters, 10 meters, and 15 meters—offer flexibility for different machines and production lines. The MobileView also features a 10-inch touchscreen display, a 2GB internal SD card for application storage, and a USB 2.0 port for high-speed data transfer.
