It supports low-latency networks and features easy remote management with an intuitive user interface. This makes the SATELLAR XT 5RC a very attractive option for industrial internet connectivity and IoT (Internet of Things) applications.

The SATELLAR XT 5RC now offers enhanced IP capabilities: routing redundancy, VRRP (RFC 5798), VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q), QoS, and a firewall for improved security. This version also introduces faster data transfer for long distances (230 kbps@150 kHz ) and a low-latency connection. SATELLAR can provide coverage from short distances and extend to hundreds of kilometers with its repeater functionality.

Routing redundancy monitors the path to intended destinations and, in case of path failure, automatically switches to an alternate path. The Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) provides continuous hot-standby switching to a backup satellite or other VRRP network device. Together, the routing network and VRRP provide high availability and secure communication.

VLAN functionality enhances SATELLAR's ease of integration, even in more complex infrastructures. Quality of Service (QoS) enables bandwidth load balancing and interchange between different types of data traffic. The firewall increases security by blocking unnecessary or harmful traffic.

SATELLAR Digital consists of two independent modules: a central unit and a radio unit. The radio unit can be used as a radio modem for serial data transmission and as a repeater in packet-switched networks. When the central unit is added to the radio unit, full TCP/IP functionality is achieved. Features familiar from previous versions of SATELLAR, such as remote monitoring and management, SNMP, NTP, data compression, and serial data encapsulation, are still included to provide a complete digital solution that addresses all data transfer scenarios.
