The new device operates in S to C bands with a typical noise figure of exactly 0.35 dB at 2.4 or 4 GHz, which is at the forefront of the industry. At 2.4 GHz, it provides a gain of 18.0 dB.
Compared to its predecessor, the 12 GHz MGF4953A, the new MGF4921AM operates at frequencies in the 12 to 20 GHz range while simultaneously offering a 0.1 dB improvement in noise characteristics when measured at 2.4 GHz in a stable adapter circuit. Like its predecessor, the new MGF4921AM is supplied in an industry-standard 4-pin package.
The MGF4921AM is recommended to operate with a drain current (ID) of 15 mA (10 mA for the reference model) at a VDS of 2 V.
