The MGA 430x amplifiers feature a very small footprint, high gain, and high linearity. Avago Technologies' MGA 430x 2.4GHz amplifier modules, available from Mouser Electronics, are offered in two frequency bands. The MGA 43040 is for use in the 2.3 GHz to 2.4 GHz frequency band and provides 40 dB of gain, while the MGA 43024 is for use in the 2.401 GHz to 2.484 GHz frequency band and provides 40.5 dB of gain. Both provide high linear output power and an integrated RF detector.
The MGA 430x amplifier modules provide fully matched input and output ports, allowing the output load to see the same impedance as the source. These amplifiers are built using Avago's GaAs E pHEMT process technology, which is optimized for the high-frequency wireless semiconductors required by these devices to reduce cost and size, provide high uniformity, and efficiently handle high-power signals.
The Avago MGA 430x 2.4GHz amplifiers are packaged in a 5mm x 5mm molded compact chip with integrated module (MCOB). The MGA-43024 is ideal for wireless LAN (WLAN) applications, such as access points and hotspots, while the MGA-43040 is designed for last-stage amplification in low- and medium-power cellular base stations.
Digi International and Digi-Key present a new XBee kit with wireless connectivity
Digi International® and Digi-Key Electronics have announced the availability of the Digi XBee® Wireless Connectivity Kit (XKB2-AT-WWC). Initially available exclusively through Digi-Key for the next 90 days,
Mouser Electronics, Inc. introduces the Avago MGA 430x amplifier modules for amplifying 2.4GHz frequencies. These amplifiers are RF power amplifiers for use in the 2.4GHz frequency band and are manufactured using Avago's 0.25μ GaAs pHEMT enhancement mode process technology.
