Mini-DIN adapters used in RF applications are similar in design to 7/16 connectors, but are more compact and offer more precise electrical operation. The new series of 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN adapters offered by Fairview Microwave features a VSWR of 1.25:1 up to 6 GHz. Third-order PIM is guaranteed below -160 dBc using two tones at 20 Watts. These low-PIM mini-DIN adapters are available in male and female combinations for each adapter type, including 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN to 7/16 and 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN to N-type. Non-low-PIM versions are also available.
The new 4.1/9.5 adapters from Fairview Microwave are constructed of bronze with a tri-alloy silver plating and silver-plated BeCu contacts. Designed to provide low PIM and low attenuation losses, additional applications for the new 4.1/9.5 adapter line include portable testing, wireless infrastructure, OEM, in-building systems, and mobile radio communications.
