The KX III's new hardware architecture, more powerful CPU, and improved video compression algorithms contribute to a high-performance remote video experience, enabling work to be done remotely from anywhere in the world. These enhancements are also designed to support intensive video and audio applications, which are important for broadcast, media, and entertainment industries.
The KX III's next-generation video processing engine supports not only traditional remote server management applications but also dynamic streaming applications requiring 1920x1080 resolution, 24-bit color, digital audio, and dual monitors. Furthermore, the KX III's video streaming capabilities allow for viewing a 1080p movie (with audio) at 30 frames per second over an IP network.
Features:
• BIOS-level access and web-based control of up to 64 servers.
• Beautiful 1920x1080 HD resolution, 24-bit color, at speeds up to 30 FPS.
• DVI-based digital local port for responsive, rack-mount performance.
• DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort digital and analog video connections.

The Dominion KX III enterprise-class KVM-over-IP switch allows multiple IT administrators—both local and remote users—to access and control multiple servers. The new switch supports 1, 2, 4, or 8 users with remote control of 8 to 64 servers. With Raritan's CommandCenter secure gateway, clients can connect to hundreds of servers through a single IP address. BIOS-level access ensures servers remain accessible even if a server's operating system is down.
Using the KX III's Universal Media Virtual, administrators can also remotely install software, transfer files, back up data, and perform diagnostics. Server power can be controlled with the Raritan PX line of remote power distribution units.
The Dominion KX III includes security features such as a FIPS 140-2 certified cryptographic module, smart-card/CAC authentication, and IPv6. It also features dual power supplies and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports.
