These coils also feature a non-magnetic core for use in MRI systems or other magnetically sensitive circuits. Sample kits (JMC-SMTCOIL-KIT), which include three of each of six different Johanson variable coils (surface mount) along with an adjustment tool, are available from stock to simplify the selection process. In addition to their use in circuits for MRI applications, these coils are employed in RF amplifiers, verification and measurement systems, and defense electronics systems.
With a maximum height of 9 mm, these variable inductors are ideal for low-profile circuit applications. Tuning is achieved using a copper alloy core.
