Murata has developed the LXFLANMXMG-003 tag for sectors that require tracking metal items. It is ideal for items including construction equipment, computer components, roll cages or logistics containers, and other metal parts used in the manufacturing industry. It can also be used to identify an item's location.
Items such as tools, containers, and trunks are often difficult to visually identify, making them hard to track or locate if lost, and they can be costly to replace. Murata's on-metal tag allows RAIN RFID to be applied to all these items, facilitating improved inventory tracking.
The LXFLANMXMG-003 includes an Impinj Monzar® R6-P tag chip which, combined with Murata's design, provides excellent tag read performance. The product meets IP-68 waterproofing standards, allowing for outdoor use without performance degradation. The R6-P chip has 96-bit EPC memory and 64-bit user memory, enabling users to encode additional information such as external identification numbers onto the tag.
The robust LXFLANMXMG-03 measures 25 x 85 x 4.5 mm and complies with the ISO18000-63 UHF RFID standard and the EPC Global Gen2v2. It also supports the global UHF band from 865 MHz to 928 MHz. The tag provides an excellent maximum read range of 10 m (4W EIRP).
