“The new FieldFox microwave analyzer delivers high-performance radio frequency (RF) measurements in the industry’s lightest form factor for on-site measurements,” said Dan Dunn, vice president of Aerospace and Defense Government Solutions at Keysight. “Now, 5G mobile operators, installation companies, satellite service providers and ground stations, as well as defense organizations, can quickly and efficiently deploy advanced communication systems.”
Keysight's FieldFox, a portable, integrated analyzer with a task-oriented user interface, incorporates spectrum and signal analysis, as well as signal generation capabilities. This allows the FieldFox to accurately measure interfering signals, antenna and cable performance, electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure levels, and path loss in communication systems. Keysight's new high-performance installation tool ensures that 5G services in the Frequency Range 2 (FR2) can reach their full connectivity potential.
The new Keysight FieldFox evolves the FieldFox B-Series originally introduced in May 2019, and provides the following key benefits:
• Simplifies setup and improves measurement results in any frequency band specified by 3GPP for FR2 by extending the frequency range up to 54 GHz without the need for external mixers.
• Supports advanced channel aggregation and complex interference debugging with an increased analysis bandwidth range of up to 120 MHz.
• Enables customers to confidently measure and analyze mmWave signals with complex modulation schemes such as 256 QAM.
• Offers reliable analysis of complex signals with industry-leading features such as very low phase noise, high sensitivity, and amplitude accuracy.
• Provides 5G NR beamforming analysis, controlling phased array antennas, which are critical in the deployment of MIMO technology.
