This is the same feature already implemented in the higher-end models of the same HD RANGER+ and HD RANGER 2 family. From now on, newly manufactured units will include this function, and existing HD RANGER Lite units can incorporate it for free by downloading the latest device update from the PROMAX website.
Thanks to the peak hold and marker functions of the HD RANGER family spectrum analyzer, a first idea of the influence this signal can have on TV channels is obtained.
The LTE interference measurement utility displays the spectrum of the LTE-800 band (776-876 MHz) to determine the level of 4G (LTE) activity. The screen simultaneously shows LTE band power measurements and the Maximum Interference Meter (MER) of the suspected channel, both with and without a filter. If the MER improves when the LTE filter is applied, the harmful effect of 4G (LTE) interference on that channel is evident. Otherwise, the LTE signal can be ruled out as the source of interference.
In this way, the installer can check if installing a filter will dampen the effects of the LTE signal and if it will positively affect the quality of television signal reception.
