The new FieldMan can be equipped with various digital probes for virtually any application in the frequency range from 0 Hz (DC) to 90 GHz. These probes have proven effectiveness in broadband detection of field strengths for E and H fields, within the long-wave to millimeter-wave range, as well as in two new B-field probes for spectral (FFT) measurement of the magnetic field components. The two digital probes, BFD-400-1 and BFD-400-3, also measure and evaluate over time, in accordance with the limit values of all relevant personal protection standards. Accredited calibration of the broadband probes and integrated probe and sensor testing ensure maximum accuracy and reliability, regardless of the frequency range being measured.
The unique feature of the FieldMan is that both the recording and processing of the measurement values are performed entirely within the probe itself. This means that the measuring equipment (i.e., the active components) is located inside the connector at the bottom of the probe.
With FieldMan, you only need to calibrate the probe; you can use an alternative probe to process other tasks in the meantime.
The FieldMan features two ultrasonic sensors on its underside which, with the protective cover open, measure the precise distance from the ground. This parameter, often required by measurement standards, is automatically displayed on the screen and simultaneously recorded in the documentation. The same protective cover, which shields the sensors when closed, offers another clever solution: when open, it also serves as a support leg, providing additional height. This allows even probes with a large sensor surface to float freely above the table during measurement.
The FieldMan's thoughtful simplification for the average user and its significant added value in daily measurement tasks are particularly evident in its integrated climate sensors. These sensors record temperature, humidity, and air pressure, and automatically document the results in the measurement log for evaluation and subsequent professional presentation.
In terms of connectivity, the FieldMan offers various options, including USB-C, optical RP-02, Micro-SD card, and Gigabit Ethernet. While the Micro-SD card slot facilitates customization, the optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth interface enables features such as remote control via a mobile app. In addition to the PC software, it also boasts multimedia file compatibility, designed for creating more professional presentations through the mobile app.
