This competitively priced instrument supports GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, and HSDPA. For comprehensive error analysis, it also automatically stores error events that occur before measurements begin.
The new solution is implemented on commercially available, dedicated mobile measurement devices. In mobile phone mode, network operators can simultaneously analyze data and voice transmissions on the mobile network where measurements are being taken. Even very long measurements (over 100 hours) can easily be performed using this cost-effective solution.
To preserve and record errors that occur before measurements begin, a loop memory is integrated into the measurement solution. As soon as a measurement is stored, the data in the loop memory is also automatically saved to the measurement file. This ensures that no measurement results are lost.
R&S ROMES2GO simplifies the daily work of field technicians: Common measurement tasks are pre-configured. During measurements, key parameters such as channel, level, and quality of service are displayed graphically on the mobile measurement device. If additional information is required, the maintenance engineer can enter a comment on-site, which is then timestamped and associated with the measurement. For indoor measurements, results are automatically generated along the route. For outdoor measurements, GPS data can be used.
Once a measurement is complete, the R&S ROMES2GO automatically transmits the data to an FTP server. The results are then evaluated using the R&S ROMES2GO software or other third-party tools.
